Beginning July 1, 2025, all previous Wilkes County Schools volunteers at all levels must reapply to become a volunteer for the 2025-2026 school year. This is due to our new volunteer application platform.

Individuals may apply to become a volunteer at two different levels.

Level 1 Volunteer – This includes volunteer activities not requiring direct contact with students without the supervision of Wilkes County Schools personnel. Level 1 volunteers do not require formal screenings.

Level 2 Volunteer – This includes volunteer activities requiring direct contact with and supervision of students for extended periods of time without direct supervision of school personnel (i.e., school chaperones).  Please click here to apply.

Please note that applying to become a level 1 volunteer or passing the screening process required to be a level 2 volunteer does not guarantee that volunteer services will be approved and/or needed at the school level. These services are reviewed and approved by the school administration.
